Therapist Overview
Life can be difficult and most of us are doing the best that we can given our circumstances. Sometimes, things become too stressful and the need arises to seek help outside of ourselves. Taking the first step can be scary, but it also shows a level of courage. Ironically, the solutions we may be looking for reside within us- we just need a little help to discover them. With twenty four years experience as a social worker, I have worked with women and teens of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am also able to communicate in Spanish. I have experience working with anxiety disorders, bereavement, depression, parenting, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, teen pregnancy, coping with medical diagnoses and managing life transitions. I am happy to discuss issues from a Christian faith based perspective if you so desire. However, all faiths are welcomed and affirmed. My hope is to teach you lifelong coping skills, so that when counseling has ended, you have the tools needed
