She received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver with an emphasis in Multicultural Counseling. Christine is especially passionate about helping people from diverse backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ and Latinx communities. Christine provided community-based counseling and case management services to women struggling with mental health and substance abuse. Christine has completed specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) in order to further support the healing process for persons who have experienced trauma. She utilizes this trauma-informed lens and integrates mindfulness, solution-focused, and experiential approaches in session. Christine brings compassion, warmth, and authenticity in addition to her clinical skills and training into the therapeutic relationship. She strongly believes in the importance of collaborating within the therapeutic process, in order to empower one’s ability to heal, grow, and flourish.
