A person may have experienced poor treatment in the past. These issues improve when a person works with a supportive, caring therapist who feels safe and non- judgemental. A therapist can become a source of caring support. Identifying factors blocking the way forward is necessary to prioritize the interventions needed; that step is also a relief. Change comes about through small steps and working on issues one at a time. I work with children (< 6) and families to make a plan to assist each family member.
