I have an extensive experience working with mental health and substance use issues and supporting families. I have a particularly broad experience treating adults with both mental health and substance use issues. I enjoy working with individuals and couples; as well as parent coaching. Areas of specialty are anxiety and depression, women’s emotional health, aging, trauma, body image and disordered eating, co-dependency, self-esteem, self-harm, and substance abuse/dependence. I use motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focus, EMDR, 12 step facilitation, as well as psychoeducation. I attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND where I received my undergrad in social work and addiction counseling. I then obtained my Masters in Social Work from Augsburg. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health and chemical dependency field, many of those taking place at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
