Therapist Overview
I have been providing counseling services to adolescents and adults for over 30 years. I have extensive training in the treatment of addiction, trauma, PTSD and anxitey and mood disorders. Together we will determine your goals and my treatment approach will be based on where you are in your journey. I am not a therapist who will simply ask you “how do you feel?” I am very active. I can not do the work for you, but together we will explore what has brought you to therapy and I will gently guide you to a path of healing and growth. Everyone needs to be heard. Your life and experiences are unique to you. However, traditional “talk therapy” is not always enough. The use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and teaching coping skills is very important and can provide relief. My training in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing can facilitate resolution.
