Therapist Overview
Are you constantly plagued by thoughts of not being good enough? Do you spend too much time worrying about what you eat and/or look like? If you’re interested in making lasting changes in your life and relationships, then you’ve come to the right place. I believe in the transformative power of therapy and I can work with you to help you reach your goals. My hope for all of my clients is to live a life characterized by authenticity, courage, and hope, rather than one of perfectionism, shame, and self-criticism. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, body image concerns, disordered eating (chronic dieting, diet cycling), self-harm, anxiety, depression and issues surrounding life transitions. My approach to therapy includes cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and solution focused modalities. I have also received training in the Family Based Treatment of Anorexia (Maudsley approach) from Daniel leGrange, PhD and James Lock, MD at the University of Chicago. In addition, I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
