Therapist Overview
Many of our experiences come from a place of great suffering and fear. Often, this entails surviving harsh challenges and as a result, pieces of our personal stories may be missing, either because they are forgotten or too painful to talk about. Restoring one’s personal history can prove to be invaluable in healing pain. It can connect past, future and the present, forming continuity and hope. My desire as a therapist is to provide assistance and encouragement for every one of my clients in exploring these personal stories as a way of coping with pain and finding meaning. I provide a caring and safe environment where my clients can get to the source of their problems and feel safe, seen, heard and understood. Working together, you can achieve your goals of living a happier, more joyful and productive life. My professional interests and expertise are in the area of psychological trauma, sexual abuse, loss and dealing with chronic anxiety and depression. In my practice I have helped adults and children navigate important life transitions and challenges. I also have experience in graduate school counseling and cultural adaptation.
