I have recently retired from my university counseling professorship where I spent over 30 years teaching and supervising counselors in training and counseling in a private practice. I have worked with a wide range of issues with a wide variety of clients, including those who were therapists themselves. I am fascinated with life stories and personal strengths. Deep healing can begin with a place to tell one’s story where we are cared for and won’t get interrupted, where we won’t be “fixed” with someone else’s biases. I will offer validation, knowledge, skills and perspective while you implement change. My approach is integrative – primarily humanistic while also employing stress reduction strategies to assist in developing coping skills and to support growth and change.
