Life is filled with adventure, love, joy, happiness, dreams and the list can go on and on… right? Well I know that certain experiences such as traumatic events, loss, and other situations transpire that directly impact our ability to remain hopeful about our future/purpose. When we look in the mirror, we no longer see the beauty, strength, boldness, creativity, intellect that we once saw. Instead, the “fog/steam” of life obstructs and distorts our view. Well, I would argue that the image/reflection has never changed…just your ability to see it. My role is to be a “defroster.” My specialty is addressing the needs of individuals that have been broken by life’s traumatic events to include, sexual trauma, domestic violence, and physical abuse.
