Therapist Overview

As a therapist, I believe that the cultivation of awareness and compassion are key ingredients for change. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative, relational, mindful and compassionate. I am a graduate of The Family Institute at Northwestern University. I have additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from UC San Diego, and am a trained teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion. I am a member of the Womencare Trauma Consultation Group as a trauma-informed therapist. Compassion is the foundation of my work and do my very best to understand and validate your history, coping behaviors, and patterns. My compassionate approach is also action-oriented, in that I will help you identify new, more effective ways of being in the world and in relationship with your self and with others.
