Therapist Overview
I have been part of the NWF Panhandle community since 1988. As a result, much of my work has been with people struggling with the anxiety and depression brought on by adjusting to everyday changes, including military life and sudden, unforeseen weather disasters. I work with couples trying to navigate through communication problems, parents raising young adolescents and teenagers leaving the nest. As an Army “Brat” and an (Ret.) Air Force Wife, I have a personal understanding of the difficulties this population faces. I work from the Cognitive Behavioral Theory. Events occur around us. We can’t control external events. They generate our thoughts. It’s your self-talk that forms your feelings. You have power over what you say to yourself. Therapy is about learning coping skills to reframe that self-talk. I am a provider for most insurance companies. My practice at St. Simon’s allows me to see insurance clients, as well as offer sliding scale and scholarship opportunity to others. The off
