Therapist Overview
I am a Mental Health Counselor who is influenced by both Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches. In my work, I often pull from key tenets of Empowerment Feminist Theory. I enjoy working with adolescents as well as young adults, and have experience treating anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am also especially focused on working with young women on such concerns as empowerment, self-esteem, and confidence. I believe that the core of successful therapy is in the bond between client and therapist. I strive to always meet clients where they’re at, and work to build a strong relationship through genuine and honest conversations. I gained clinical experience working with middle schoolers in the Bronx. What was most important to me, throughout the therapeutic process, was to ensure that I took a holistic approach to each students’ well being, considering environment, relationships, and patterns of thought.
