I believe that individuals, couples, and families come to therapy to find a sense of balance and peace. Therapy is that place where you can improve your ability to cope with challenges, manage symptoms, improve communication, maintain better relationships, and improve emotional wellness. I work from a client-centered/trauma-focused perspective. Client-centered means therapy focuses on areas you want to work on. I’m here to help you develop and reach YOUR goals. Trauma is the tough stuff that we encounter along our journey that seems to stick with us. I take the approach that many have been exposed to trauma and am sensitive to this. I hope to walk with you as we work through that trauma. Some evidence based approaches I use in therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
