Therapist Overview
It’s normal to feel overwhelmed when trying to manage the expectations we set for ourselves and that others set for us. Given the busy nature of our lives, there is little time to process what these expectations mean to us and why they can cause us distress. Therapy can give space for life to slow down, to limit distractions, and to keep the judgments of others out. By engaging in the therapeutic process, we gain an understanding of our values and how they inform our behavior and emotional well-being. As a therapist, I tailor treatment to the individual based on their own life experiences. I create an open dialogue that fosters a trusting therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families who have experienced a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and trauma. It is easy to lose our sense of control when life gets challenging. I am here to support you in understanding how your life experiences have driven your feelings and behavior. Feeling overwhelmed does not need to be permanent – together we can establish comfort in setting healthy expectations while managing life’s obstacles throughout the process.
