Therapist Overview
People come to me when they have reached a breaking point. Some feel trapped in a high stress job, caregiver role, or difficult relationship. Some feel unsupported and alone in their personal or professional lives. Others feel overwhelmed, checked-out, cynical, and stuck. Right now, COVID-19 is complicating problems that may have already been present. The stress of this virus may be bringing up concerns that you thought you had already overcome. Or, you may be experiencing completely new challenges. I start with with the following beliefs: -You are not a project or a problem to be solved. -You are the expert on your own life. – Some problems cannot be solved, but you can change your relationship to those problems, so that they don’t prevent you from being who you want to be. My role is to create a brave space for you to be seen, heard, and affirmed as you are. I welcome and affirm people of all sexual, gender, and body diversities, and strive to provide care that is always culturally informed, profoundly respectful, and empowering.
