Therapist Overview
We all need a helping hand at times, and I have had a passion for helping people for as long as I can remember. I work with adults, both individuals and groups. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and it is my mission to help survivors of childhood or domestic abuse find peace, joy, and satisfaction in their lives. I am also experienced in working with Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal ideation, self-harm, mood swings, depression, anxiety, anger issues, and feelings of never being “good enough.” I help people discover their potential, learn to be assertive, communicate effectively, set boundaries, make time for self-care, cope with life’s challenges, achieve goals, and find balance in life. My approach to therapy reflects a strong background in CBT and DBT, but I draw from many other approaches in order to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. I welcome diversity and I am an ally of the LGBTQ community. I am a Christian, but I have no particular church affiliation, and I welcome people from all faiths, including atheism. I have spent time volunteering in the local jail and I feel a special compassion for people with a history of incarceration.
