Therapist Overview
Are you looking for a safe and nonjudgmental space, to talk about whatever is important to you? My top priority, as a therapist, is to provide this to you. I understand that all people have the ability to learn, adapt and grow in positive directions through a secure therapeutic alliance. I derive a deep sense of purpose from entering into a partnership with you and working together toward achieving a happier and healthier life for you, as well as guiding you toward building stronger and more enriching relationships. With over 20 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings to include private practice, medical social work and community mental health. I attended Columbia University in New York, where I earned a Masters in Social Work degree, and attended Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Some of my areas of professional interest include providing support through life transitions, anxiety and depression, divorce recovery, grief and loss, trauma, couples counseling and helping to manage the stress of medical illnesses and mental health issues.
