Therapist Overview
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over thirty years, of which sixteen have included working as an equine-assisted psychotherapist. My expertise ranges from counseling individuals, children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with various issues, including anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and so forth. I practice from a strengths-based theoretical orientation. I also am an equine-assisted psychotherapist and use horses for all issues,. My goal is always to help clients recognize and utilize internal strengths for growth and change. My specialty is helping clients unpack their strengths to utilize these for the present issues/concerns/disorders. Focusing on language, I support clients to develop creating new narratives. My other specialty is using equines (without riding) to enhance problem-solving skills for all ages, especially for children/teens with learning differences.
