Therapist Overview
Finding someone with whom you feel comfortable and understood is the most important factor in effective therapy. I offer a safe place to explore your concerns while learning healthy and effective ways to manage intense feelings and resolve problems. Our work together can help you uncover ways your past may be impacting your present, learn new ways of looking at things, and grow confidence in your ability to live well. I work with children and adults on a variety of issues related to trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Much of my work is based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), using trauma-focused and grief-focused interventions. Despite the gravity of what we may talk about, laughter is healing and I use humor liberally. Living with trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress can be overwhelming. It’s no wonder so many of us resort to avoidance and unhealthy lifestyle choices as a means of escape. It takes courage to seek help and move toward change. I find it an honor to accompany people on their journeys toward living healthier, happier lives.
