Hello! I’m Dennise Demitro and I am a Social Worker currently earning my clinical hours for licensure. As a masters-level therapist at Stronger Therapeutic Counseling Services I am grateful for the opportunity to be a guide for women and teens seeking improved personal happiness and mental wellness. I partner with my clients to discover a greater sense of clarity regarding the thoughts that are keeping them up late at night, frustrated in their relationships, or losing hope for the goals they once had. I understand the pain and negative impact that symptoms of depression, low self -esteem, anxiety, and trauma can create. I am passionate about the work that I do with my clients to assist them in exploring their past experiences and move towards greater feelings of relief and a renewed sense of hope for their future. I am trained in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I feel this approach is most effective in working with clients, as it allows us to explore the thoughts that create your feelings and ultimately how you behave. I feel that if we can change how we think about things, we can then change how we feel and ultimately enjoy more in our lives and experiences
