Therapist Overview
My approach to therapy is to promote proper care of our bodies for optimal health and functioning. I work with individuals, couples, and families to encourage this balance in pursuit of physical and mental health. I work with clients who want a personalized approach to living life in a way that allows them to be the best kind of person they can be through all dimensions of wellness. I believe the client is the expert in their own life, and I work collaboratively to lead them to solutions. As a current PhD student at the University of Iowa, I utilize a solution-focused approach to therapy and I believe change is possible through the presence of support and compassion in therapy. I also believe clients achieve wellness through incorporating a focus on multiple aspects of health including mental and physical. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive arena to help you tap into your own internal and external resources for change. I hope to make you feel valued, heard, respected, and understood in an environment free of judgement. I look forward to meeting you and working with you toward reaching your goals.
