Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I work with clients of various behavioral and emotional issues through an approach that takes into account the whole person. I create a warm and empathic atmosphere in which you can begin to understand yourself better, gain clarity in your life, process healing, re-connect in relationships, and work to understand your child better. I specialize in play therapy for children ages 3-10. Play is a child’s natural way of communicating. Children use play to process and make sense of their world, much like adults use words. Play therapy is effective for many concerns including behavior modification, anxiety, self-regulation, trauma, grief, depression and social issues. I also have a passion for couples who are feeling disconnected/dissatisfied in their relationship. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples understand what is keeping them from a fulfilling relationship. I earned my M.Ed. in counseling from the University of North Texas and have experience working in counseling private practice, a non-profit Christian counseling center, and a university counseling center.
