I believe psychotherapy is a process leading to understanding one’s self and one’s struggles. This is what therapy is about. Often current problems are influenced by our past and assumptions we have made about how people are. It is important to recognize these patterns of thoughts and behaviors. I treat patients of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults. With young children and adolescents, I have found it beneficial to give parents feedback and guidance in addition to the child’s individual work.
