Therapist Overview
Hope, possibility, insight, change; these are the gifts therapy can offer. Many times, in life we feel that our problems are never ending or that we have hit a dead end. I commit myself to working with those who truly desire a change in their life, so that we can together find the path that best fits their goals. My previous clinical experiences have afforded me the privilege of working with our Military, children and adolescents, and their families in a traditional clinical, community, and hospital settings. Through the years my focus has been primarily on trauma and crisis such as advocacy for abused children and adult survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Through this I learned that we all have challenges, but we also have personal strengths that help us overcome those difficulties. I generally utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Role-play, and Client Centered Counseling. My goal with all of my clients is to help them arrive at a place where they feel comfortable, secure, and empowered to manage life successfully.
