Therapist Overview
I believe that as humans we are not defined by our challenges. We are capable of growth, change, and writing our own story. I have experience assisting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, work stress, life transitions, chronic illness, grief, and the impact of trauma in taking ownership of their lives and writing a new chapter. I am also passionate about working with individuals who have experienced stroke or traumatic brain injury. The emotional impact of brain injury does not have to be invisible. I believe a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship where you can show up as yourself is key in therapy. I view you as more than the concerns that bring you to therapy. I recognize that we are both human and use a collaborative approach. I work to help you recognize your strengths, values, and goals. I support you in experimenting with new patterns. Being human is messy. I believe Psychotherapy is a space that can assist us in slowing down; a space where we can be authentic, sort through our present, learn from our past, determine what we value, and build new patterns. I respect the humility and courage that it takes to start therapy. I will support you in writing your new chapter.
