Life is hard! We all know it. Sometimes, it’s a challenge to get through the day. This is especially true when our day-to-day stress is compounded by struggles related to identity, relationships, adversity, trauma, or low self-esteem. While there are many ways to work through these issues, therapy can offer opportunities to learn more about ourselves and experiment with new ways of being. As a therapist, it is my goal to provide each of my client’s a space where they feel safe to be vulnerable, to explore the vastness of their identity, and to grow to embrace their weird, wonderful self. At its core, my approach to therapy is humanistic, gender-affirming, and integrates elements of cognitive and narrative therapies to work through negative messages we sometimes internalize over the course of our lives. My areas of interest include working with LGBTQ+ individuals/couples, people exploring their identity, and folks struggling with self-esteem. Above all, I value my client’s story and believe in their capacity to overcome the obstacles thrown at them.
