The Family Connection is a safe, inviting place that helps people to address their own concerns and grow to be the person that they want to be. That person has always been there but is often hidden behind pain and negative self thoughts. I enjoy helping people find what decisions and behaviors have led them to this place of pain and how to make different decisions within their own life, to become more empowered to be the person they have always desired to be. Part of understanding this is looking at the families we have come from, the beliefs that have been transmitted to us and determining whether those values and beliefs continue to work for us. If they don’t; how to we know what we want, the person we want to be. As a Marriage and Family Therapist it provides me a unique perspective on people and their issues. I work to help people understand what their needs are taking into account cultural and family influences to gain perspective and skills. Helping to empower people to connect with themselves and others is my privilege.
