Therapist Overview
I recognize that finding appropriate behavioral healthcare can be a daunting task. Many of you have already spent hours or days searching online, calling insurance companies, or asking friends if they “know of anyone” who can help you make the changes you desire. Seeking behavioral healthcare is challenging enough without these additional hurdles. My goal is to simplify the process of looking for appropriate treatment and accelerate the process of getting appropriate treatment. My philosophy is that change is possible, and through education, collaboration, and thoughtful treatment goals everyone is capable of finding that change. My clinical approach is rooted in motivational interviewing principles. Clients can expect to experience a supportive and collaborative relationship that emphasizes respect for their autonomy as we develop measurable and achievable goals. I believe in the use of empirically-based treatment methods, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, ACT, and mindfulness. Successful treatment is more than just silent head-nodding. I develop an individualized and structured recovery plan for each client, focused on the biological, social, and emotional foundations of the problem, including anxiety, mood disorders, addiction, chronic illness, and relational/occupational stress. I encourage you to reach-out whenever you’re ready
