Therapist Overview

Have you ever heard the phrase, “You have to love yourself before you can love someone else?” – Well that’s probably true and a great idea, but how do we actually do that?!? Starting from a place of self-compassion, we can create more change and healthier relationships in our lives, and I can help teach you the skills and awareness to access this self-love more frequently and easily. I work with both men and women who are ready to do the hard work of looking inward. Specific areas of interest for me are self-compassion, mindfulness, how the nervous system and our physical body interplay with our emotional experience, and how gender/cultural norms impact our expectations of self and others. I am LGBTQ affirming, and strive to work from a place of cultural humility and acceptance of all race and ethnicities.
