My ideal client is female and age 30 or up but I work well with older teens and adults. I use CBT often in my work, and I have specialized training in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (trauma therapies) to help people heal emotionally from difficult life experiences. I also have specialized training in substance abuse. I enjoy working with those with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. I am thoughtful about my work with clients, and I enjoy helping people overcome all kinds of obstacles, including physical, mental, and emotional challenges. My professional experience is extensive and varied. I am certified as an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and have training in the Gottman method for couples work. I have training in trauma. I like to individualize my treatment style to meet each client’s unique needs. I simply enjoy helping people through life’s struggles.
