Sometimes in our lives many of us find ourselves, feeling hurt, sad, angry, lonely, and stuck in old habits. Therapy seeks to assist us in recapturing the experience and feelings of pleasure, freedom, connection, and choice. In therapy this is achieved by exploring our present experiences, as well as, core thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and behaviors. During this exploration the missing experiences are revealed and resources reclaimed leading to a deeper healing experiences and transformation. As a trauma therapist I have helped many learn skills to manage symptoms of PTSD and behaviors related to PTSD: substance abuse, compulsive behaviors, eating disorders, suicidal thinking, and self harm. I have also worked with individuals across the spectrum of sexual expression and from diverse spiritual perspectives. My approach toward each client is one of respect, openness, curiosity, compassion, and acceptance. My method of working with Trauma survivors is based on Judith Herman’s three phas
