Therapist Overview
I see therapy as part of the life-long process of getting to know ourselves and our own minds. To support this process I strive to create a space that is warm, collaborative and inquisitive. In my experience, the therapeutic relationship helps people understand patterns of thinking and interacting that have become painful. By learning about these patterns in a supportive space, people often feel less stuck in their lives and more capable of making positive change. My therapeutic approach is informed by psychodynamic theory, particularly relational and attachment perspectives. These perspectives attend to the ways trauma and healing occur within the context of our relationships. I am also attentive to social identity and the ways in which the larger cultural landscape informs our sense of self and agency in the world. I am a graduate of the the Smith School for Social Work and a Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis Postgraduate Fellow. I use She/Her pronouns.
