Therapist Overview
Often people come into therapy when their efforts to connect with the people who are most important to them are being misinterpreted, leading to strained relationships. In my experience, the key to shifting this dynamic is reinforcing genuine connection and nurturing emotional safety. I have experience treating issues including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting concerns, behavioral challenges, and parent-child attachment issues. My theoretical lens is primarily relationship-based as my background is in Infant Mental Health. I’ve been practicing therapy in home-based settings for 9 years and consultation school settings for 5 years. I am also certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and am trained in Trauma Smart. I know that it can feel difficult to share your story with a stranger and in my practice it is of the utmost importance that you and/or your child feel heard, known, and safe to share your authentic selves through a therapeutic experience that is client-led and relationship-centered.
