Therapist Overview
I know that sex and relationships can be among the most difficult topics to talk about, so I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental place for these intimate and essential conversations. As an AASECT certified sex therapist, I see clients who are struggling with intimacy issues, sexual dysfunction or pain, concerns about dating or forming connections, or navigating both traditional and non-traditional relationships. For clients coping with general anxiety, major life transitions, or other issues, I offer a sex-positive and sex-inclusive approach. And I am an LGBTQ- and kink- affirmative clinician. My integrative approach is both warm and direct; it’s both creative and based in current research. I strongly believe that the most progress comes from a good client-therapist relationship, so my style is non-judgmental and collaborative, meeting you where you are and working with you to access your unique strengths and empower you to reach your goals. I’m passionate about the work that I do, and my writing about sex, relationships and therapy is frequently published, including a bimonthly column in Prevention Magazine. In addition to Spark Chicago Therapy, I see clients at Northwestern Medicine’s Center for Sexual Medicine and Menopause.
