Therapist Overview
Kids, teens, and college students are often dealing with an overwhelming amount of stress. Parents’ goals for their children aren’t to survive but to thrive. Parents cultivate this by teaching their children skills such as modeling how to work through difficulties or mistakes, guiding them in how to process through emotions, and helping their child to understand their own needs. Teaching these things can become increasingly difficult when a child begins experiencing a mood disorder. I’m here to support, utilizing a holistic approach to help build a toolset to help individuals feel more capable of coping with life’s stressors. I prioritize cultivating an environment that’s safe and comfortable to share whatever you or your family are experiencing. When life’s issues become unbearable and intolerable, I hope to meet you where you’re at and build a connection that provides you with the skills you need. I’m conscious that reaching out to a new therapist can be daunting. But, I will mindfully hold space for you or your family to discuss life’s experiences, life’s stressors, and your needs. I hope to create an environment where you feel safe to have a conversation and release some of the stressors you’ve been carrying.
