I believe that much of the distress that people experience stems from a disconnection from various parts of themselves, whether due to trauma, shame, or social conditioning. I aim to help people reconnect with those parts and integrate so that each part has a healthy way of expressing itself. I also draw from existential and feminist psychology, seeking to help individuals own the power and choices available to them to create their most meaningful, authentic life. I do not believe it’s enough to merely remove suffering but seek to help my clients truly thrive in wholeness and well-being. I specialize in helping those who have survived toxic, controlling, abusive, or cultic relationships or groups. I also work extensively with those who have other types of relational, sexual, or developmental trauma. I recognize that talk therapy may not be a great fit for everyone and often use music, art, sand tray, movement, or storytelling as tools to help clients work through what may not be easily
