Unfortunately, I am not accepting new clients at this time!! I enjoy working with adolescents, and find that using a non-shame based approach, like Internal Family Systems, is a useful modality in addressing self-harming, acting out, and school refusal behaviors. I also work with equestrians who have suffered a trauma, injury or loss that may be impacting their relationship with their 4 legged partner. Internal Family Systems theory (www.selfleadership.org) believes that each of us already has what we need within, and that suffering is created when parts are burdened by traumas both large and small. By creating a safe, judgment free space to address difficult issues, we can unburden and relieve parts that are suffering. I believe that effective, long-term healing can best be sustained when family members are involved. When appropriate, I like to include parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process. Additionally, I was a school social worker for 13 years at Leominster High School and have knowledge of Individualized Education Plans, 504 plans, and other school related issues.
