Therapist Overview
Clients I work with are often not very willing to open up about themselves and are at times uninterested in therapy. Some would like to change but do not want to have to talk with someone to accomplish change, others have tried before and never been able to form a good relationship with a therapist. My clients often have a high resting level of anger and likely have had issues in life with anger or are described as difficult by others. I work on getting through barriers to change that often start with simply not wanting to open up to others or refusing to admit a problem exists. I offer pet-assisted therapy through the use of my certified Golden Retriever as a way to help clients feel comfortable as well. Anger often makes us feel alone and as if no one would understand us even if we tried to tell them. I take a direct approach at learning about underlying reasons behind anger in order to bring about peace in clients lives.
