My therapeutic practice involves a gentle, safe and collaborative approach in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and early relational wounds. We accomplish this process through psychodynamic theory and body oriented methods such as Somatic Experiencing which integrates neuroscience, mindfulness, and attachment theory. The nervous system is the pathway between the mind and the body where many of our past experiences and feelings are stored and often “stuck” causing emotional and physical pain. The goal of therapy is to release these unaccessed areas and strengthen one’s sense of self, find resiliency and tolerance and have the capacity to build solid interpersonal relationships.
