Melissa Thornburg

As a person in long term recovery from various substance and process addictions, I have been helped along the way by some very special humans who have lit the way for me to peer into the areas of my path that I was either denying or just couldn’t see from an objective perspective. After a career as a marketing professional, I was able to make the transition into doing this work that has helped me come to terms with life and my place in it; work that feeds my soul and lights up those dark paths so many of us are afraid to venture into alone. Together, we can explore and make meaning of your life’s path. I’ve trained with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals, the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists and am EMDR and Somatically trained. Although I can help with many issues, my specialty is working with sexual addictions and the betrayal trauma that accompanies these confusing and disconnecting behaviors. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor providing psychotherapy services to clients in a safe and supportive environment.
