Providing clients with a sense of empowerment is a cornerstone of my practice. I approach each client with compassion and curiosity and am committed to helping clients resolve the beliefs and behaviors that have felt unhelpful or unrelenting. I am experienced treating individuals with anxiety, depression (including peripartum depression), relationship difficulties, infertility, emotion dysregulation, grief, and difficulty adjusting to new roles such as the transition to college. I specialize in treating individuals who express concerns about their eating or who feel dissatisfied with their bodies, including individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating disorder. Prior to entering private practice I held a faculty position at the University of North Carolina Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders where I provided treatment to individuals, families, and groups in outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient settings.
