Therapist Overview

I meet with clients who have struggled with the pressures of daily living, relational struggles, depression, anxiety, communication, PTSD, trauma, sexual abuse, addiction, domestic violence and couples issues.I work from a relational/interpersonal perspective using my training in Motivational Interviewing and Life Span Integration. I believe that understanding ourselves in the context of early childhood experiences and present relationships helps grow life enhancing relationships. Counseling helps consider the way in which past painful wounds have kept you from peace and wellbeing, why the same themes and challenges arise in your present relationships and how you can develop healthy ways of communicating and living well. I work from a relational/interpersonal and psychodynamic point of view. The relationship we build is a key component in our work together; it is a place to gather more information about the ways you relate to your world and to risk revealing your true voice.
