I enjoy meeting with people and finding out about their lives, specifically what went into making them the people they are today. Since we are all products of our genetics, the environment in which we grew up, experiences we had or didn’t have, it’s a pleasure to walk along side someone as they fit those puzzle pieces together and have a greater understanding of who they are. This in turn helps them understand why they feel the way they do or where some of their behaviors might come from. It’s a joy to see them grow. I especially enjoy working with women’s issues, such as stage of life issues, life transitions, coping with the many roles women often find themselves inhabiting. I do enjoy working with men as well, particularly in helping them develop healthier coping strategies in dealing with the stressors they face.
