I strongly believe that every person has the inner strength to deal with and conquer any obstacle they may face. They often need a “guide”to help them face the uncomfortable emotions that come from facing these obstacles. I see my role as the “guide”-offering and utilizing different modes of therapy to empower each person. People then tend to identify their strengths and become the master of their own healing. Though very eclectic in my approach, I am very open, honest and meet each person where they are at. I am not afraid to push some while at the same time offering support and true empathy. Because I deal with trauma victims often, it is extremely important to make certain the person “knows” they are being heard and supported Trauma comes with many faces. Most people have experienced some type of trauma that has shaped their lives even if they don’t know it. As a new person enters my office, I want them to feel like they belong and that they have just found the person who can accompany them on this next life journey AND who walks next to them holding them up.
