Therapist Overview
Children, teens, young adults, and parents all experience a number of stressful and difficult periods in their lives. Together, we will address concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral problems and opposition, inattention, hyperactivity, and other personal adjustments. I offer Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children between the ages of 2 and 7 who have trouble listening, are impulsive or hyperactive, or even aggressive and destructive. PCIT can also improve behavior at home and in other settings, such as school, day care, and with siblings. Additionally, I provide individual and family counseling for Children, teens, and young adults using various interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation. These interventions provide skills to better manage and cope with stressful situations. Seeking out counseling can be an overwhelming experience
