CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: After months of a full caseload Lori has space for new clients and is Telehealth HIPPA compliant. Lori’s goals in treatment are to help individuals learn healthy and adaptive coping strategies and skills. Lori is proficient in the adherent protocol of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and has received intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech (the original program created by Marsha Linehan). She has also completed training in Prolonged Exposure-DBT for trauma (DBT-PE) for clients who desire to manage intense emotions over past traumas. Lori has been working with children, adolescents, young adults and families for over 30 years, both in traditional psychotherapy and DBT. Lori has extensive experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in her clinical work in residential treatment and outpatient settings. Lori is passionate about DBT education and the effective practice of DBT as a modality of treatment. She also has extensive experience in traditional psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. Lori has recently moved to Charleston from Atlanta where she has practiced for 36 years with children, adolescents and young adults.
