Therapist Overview
We are wired for relationship. What we feel and believe at a gut level is in large part because of connections made in our brains and bodies through relational experiences. Our attachments are vital to how we learn and are soothed, feel safe and explore, and grow and change throughout our lives. This is also why many of the wounds we try to heal were so often formed in earlier relationships. So, although we gain much wisdom and benefit from our individual efforts to change, it’s difficult for healing truths—like that we are worthy of love and belonging exactly as we are—to really sink in when they are detached from relationship. This new therapeutic relationship involves having your felt experience in the room intentionally and empathically attended to, validated, cared about, and/or modeled for you. You will start to feel safe enough to brave vulnerabilities, begin to navigate previously avoided emotions, and get unstuck from unhelpful patterns in your relationships and life. Whatever you’re going through, a therapeutic relationship in which you are deeply known—especially the parts that are scary and painful to be known—can help. Not only will it relieve your symptoms, it will also be a way to discover what personal wellness, meaningful relationships and a thriving life looks like for you. Let’s chat and see if we’re a good fit.
