I work with people who are coping with transitions in all stages of life. These are times when we feel vulnerable. We may need extra support and a safe place to explore what is happening and how we are responding. Negative experiences and traumas from the past may be reawakened and our self worth is challenged. I am experienced working with clients of diverse backgrounds, ages and customs with a range of concerns from relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, perinatal & parenting issues and trauma. I am passionate about this work and what can be accomplished in a collaborative, non-judgmental, respectful and intentional alliance. I work from a psychodynamic approach guided by empathy, where you can speak freely about what is weighing upon you, including current stressors, fears, feelings, and early life experiences. I provide a warm, authentic and creative environment to help you gain deeper insight and self knowledge, as well as build skills and confidence to move forward. The therapeutic relationship is key to treatment, so good fit and communication are essential in this work. I will respect each individual’s pace and boundaries, while supporting you in building self confidence, better use of your natural abilities and strengths, improving capacity for more satisfying relationships and successful pursuit of personal goals.
