Therapist Overview
We all experience difficulties, and at times it can be tough to sort through our thoughts and feelings alone. I believe that we all have patterns of reactions that arise in our thoughts and behaviors. Some of these patterns may be healthy and some unhealthy. I like to think of the therapeutic environment as a safe place to sort through what makes us, “us”. Within this environment we hope to become more aware of our patterns and decision making. With increased awareness we can make the decisions on what continues to work for us and what no longer serves us well. I have almost 10 years experience working with individuals and families. I have a diverse background working with various mental health disorders, addiction, and have an understanding of family dynamics. I find it crucial to understand our past and how this has shaped our functioning today. With an increased awareness of self comes the ability to change. I strongly believe in practicing what I preach. I have spent time working on self, and know how difficult the process can be. I believe in transparency, compassion, and honesty. You can expect comfort along with the freedom to be you.
