Therapist Overview
As a therapist, I love to meet clients where they are and collaborate on goals to optimize a genuine experience of fulfillment, connection and joy. My name is Kelly Sevin, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Certified Daring Way Facilitator. I am skilled at working with clients struggling with substance use, trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders, communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality and healing from shame. I have studied Dr. Brene Brown’s work with shame and utilize The Daring Way in individual and group sessions. I use an interpersonal approach while incorporating CBT and DBT techniques to provide relational support and practical tools for healing and change. I am also trained in EMDR and ETT trauma treatment. I want to create a space for clients to come and share their stories, work together to heal wounded areas, and rewrite those stories for health and growth.
